Ali's 100WC

I sat down on the small, hard painfull seat. Its bumpy surface feels unstable under my buttocks. But that doesn't matter, because I’m waiting for the whistle to blow. I’m at the much celebrated world swimming champs.waiting , uncomfortably, in my seat. The flame lit hall with its red terracotta brick wall. Blowing the whistle seemed to take forever. All the swimmers took off. Leaving white tipped waves trailing behind them.
