Elly and the Gnome, by Manon

Elly had simply been walking along dirt pathway the day when she heard rustling,at first she thought it was loud for a rabbit, and then she saw it was a gnome and the gnome saw her and was enraged that she had seen him and he screamed a curse that sent her flying into a pond and her gumboots where  the only thing that one could see.Elly quickly picked herself up. She was covered from head to toe in pondweed! Elly was very surprised at what had happened when she explained it to her teacher no-one believed her.
