Ali's 100WC

I sat down on the small, hard painfull seat. Its bumpy surface feels unstable under my buttocks. But that doesn't matter, because I’m waiting for the whistle to blow. I’m at the much celebrated world swimming champs.waiting , uncomfortably, in my seat. The flame lit hall with its red terracotta brick wall. This day couldn’t wait for tomorrow, It was a long lasting tradition. As if in slow motion I saw the referee put the famous silver whistle between his lips. Blowing the whistle seemed to take forever. All the swimmers took off. Leaving white tipped waves trailing behind them.

Behind the big , white and tall building stood a girl. She was waiting for the biggest swimming competition in the world to arrive. This was the most celebrated most important competition of the year for every swimmer in the whole world. Of course, she was a swimmer herself. “ You're as fast as a flame”, is what her Father used to say to her. Her Mother though, was not such a supporter,  she liked to go horseback riding with her friends and get her nails done. She knew that tomorrow, or maybe the day after, she would be a top swimmer.

Tomorrow I will be celebrating my birthday with a

swimming party , yay ,it’s gonna be awesome!!

A little while later somebody came running to me and said “can you do me a favour”. I yelled back at him “NO!!” for some reason he just got this sick looking thing and waved it around and murmured something that i couldn’t quite hear. I then started running as fast as i could then flames started appearing all around me. But then i saw a light a white light at the end of the hallway. Luckily, i got away safely to have my epic pool party

Tiredly I woke to a crackling noise I determined to be fire,

A FLAME WAS ENGULFING THE BUILDING. The weird thing was how did it start. As  brave as a firefighter I called the fire brigade like any human being….

Running, sprinting anything to get away from the complex ,apart from me I was overwhelmed and in all the commotion I didn’t notice the lighter next to my bed.

I was flustered and confused everyone celebrated their escape as I was  hoping for tomorrow.

The smoke was  overwhelming and air was scarce

I got out to see  white light that was headlights.

My name is Zoe. I’m an average 12 year old girl.

I have a younger sister called Rosie. My favourite things to do are take selfies and blog.

Tomorrow’s the big selfie competition. There’s a lot of events like swimming while taking a selfie and taking a selfie while jumping through a ring of fire and lots more. But the crazy thing is you have to be painted white!

In the past they celebrated the people that one before that and before that and before that. So not sure if we have to celebrate the people who won before us.

I woke up, today was the day of white. A day that happens once every 1248 days (2 years). I walked over to the window and saw the magenta sky fading into white. I ran outside we celebrated a new year. The 7 suns had aligned to mark the start of a new year. Then suddenly flames started swimming towards the town from out the hills. The whole town caught fire everyone was screaming then the sky turned red. No one new why there was no red day after the flames were extinguished I knew there would be no tomorrow...

Suddenly as Sam entered the colour changing room, it turned white. Sam ,as elegant as a lion, prowled through the room looking for some flame to light a fire.  He entered another room filled with water, he started swimming. However Sam needed to get to his grandfather's house by tomorrow. Soon after, Sam pulled himself out of the water and onto the dry wasteland. Happily, he ran to his grandfather's house as he neared the gate. He dashed into the house but, unfortunately his grandfather was sleeping. 2 or 3 Minutes later his grandfather woke up and celebrated his birthday.
